Oppenheimer

Although it had little to no independent marketing before its release, Oppenheimer has now grossed over $778 million worldwide. So what made it so popular? Directed by Christopher Nolan, this isn't your typical documentary: it's a gripping drama based on the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man behind the atomic bomb. Clocking in at three hours, it's a long one, but somehow, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

With this movie, Christopher Nolan, visionary director known for mind-bending plots, steps into a new realm. The movie is less about puzzles and more about history, and it’s incredible to see Nolan’s skills beyond his usual style. The movie's pacing is spot-on; every scene adds to the story, making sure you stay hooked on J. Robert Oppenheimer's journey and the tough choices he faced.

The movie’s vibe is also incredibly intense, thanks to Nolan’s knack for setting moods. It places you in the time of World War II, with sets and costumes that feel just right. The attention to historical accuracy adds a layer of authenticity and transports viewers back in time to witness the scientific breakthroughs and events that unfolded during the Manhattan Project. Nearly everyone who worked on the film—screenwriters, the production team, and many more—demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication in bringing Oppenheimer's complex story to the screen. The actors are perfectly cast as well—especially Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer. With his gaunt face and slightly somber aura, he succeeds in adding a feeling of pain and heart to the story.

What truly sets Oppenheimer apart is its exploration of profound moral questions. The movie delves into the moral implications of scientific advancements, the fallout of carrying unparalleled power, and the significance of choices that could change the world. It leaves the audience pondering the moral ambiguities surrounding Oppenheimer's work and its lasting impact on humanity. Definitely worth watching.
